I decided to have the transmission repaired instead of replaced. I tried to find a replacement Y1 cable transmission, but there just wasn’t anything good out on the market at the time. I also wanted to keep the LSD, if at all possible. Options included using transmissions from an Integra, but it wouldn’t have that SiR gearing and optional LSD.
I did a little bit of digging on a few forums, including this post on Honda-Tech.com, and stumbled upon Agile Automotive Performance in Forest Hill, Maryland. They agreed to help either source a transmission or rebuild the existing transmission. Tony from Agile Auto knows his Hondas and has been a pleasure to work with so far.
